Letter Layers has three selectable levels of difficulty. Alternative letter sets are available if your school forms certain letters such as the letter ‘f’ different to the Letter Layers standard letter sets.

Level 1
Level 1 provides on screen guidance that gives the child full support in forming each letter.

Levels 2 and 3
Levels 2 and 3 can be used to encourage the child to form the letters with decreasing levels of support from the programme.

Letter Layers is available in single user, multi-user or site licence versions for Microsoft Windows or Apple Mac. The software installs itself given the minimum technical requirements are satisfied. The Letter Layers CD contains a User Guide.

Minimum Technical Requirements

Windows
Windows 95, Windows 2000, Windows XP, 16 MB of memory (32 MB preferred), minimum 16 bit colour display (thousands of colours), double speed CD-ROM drive, 16-bit sound card, speakers.

Macintosh
PowerPC, MacOS System 7.5.3 or higher, 16 MB of memory (32 MB preferred), minimum 16 bit colour display (thousands of colours), double speed CD-ROM drive, 16-bit sound.
